Hello, and thank you for supporting Magpie Pedals and getting yourself one of my effect pedals! Please feel free to use it with guitar, bass, synths, vocals or anything in between.
The pedal uses 9VDC power (2.1mm jack: center-negative).
Info:
Yeah is essentially an envelope follower expression pedal. Meaning that an incoming audio signal can now be plugged into a guitar pedal expression jack to control whatever that expression jack controls.
Just connect a sound source to one of the I/O jacks and the two expression outputs are now ready to control most guitar pedals with expression jacks. Very expressive!
The expression signal is resistor based, not CV (like classic expression pedals that requires no power). Think of it as turning your audio signal into a potentiometer.
Yeah also has true bypass for your audio signal so that you can simply incorporate it in your signal chain without having to split up your signal. Just plug audio into one of the I/O jacks and out from the other - either/or for ultimate convenience.
Controls:
The upper I/O Jacks are for audio. Work either as inputs or outputs.
The lower EXP Jacks are expression outputs. (Resistance, not CV, like a traditional expression pedal).
Big Knob controls how much expression you want to express with your audio signal. Think of it as sort of a spectrum rather than sensitivity. The RGB LED indicates expression level when you play.
Big Switch turns Yeah on/off (This does not affect the audio passthrough).
N.B. Inside Yeah there are two trimpots, one for each EXP out. These are connected in parallel with the expression resistors and can be tweaked somewhat to set the maximum expression value.
